It's Okay Not To Be Okay
K-Drama Review
🦊 This K-drama is as intriguing as title “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay”. This KD mainly evolves around two brothers Moon Gang-Tae and Moon Sang-Tae & Ko Moon-Young. And this KD It's all about healing power of love and support. Moon-young is a children’s book author, but her personality and stories are nothing near to warm and cozy but it's opposite. On the other side, we have these brothers, Gang-Tae who works as a caregiver and Sang-Tae the older brother who is mentally challenged, who is also a budding artist.
🦊 The best thing about this kD is it's covers almost every genre Romance, Comedy, Horror, Suspense & Mystery. Our 3 main characters are linked together, something happened in past that changes everything and they are destined to meet again. This k-drama highlights the fact of “helping each other in need” & “face your fear and weaknesses”, in every episode, this part I liked the most about this drama.
🦊 Talking about the charecters it's way too good , all the characters wheather it the main leads or the supporting charecters everyone has enough screen time, and the way their past and their present life is presented it appreciable. About our leads, Sang-Tae who is a selfless person, who gave up everything to take care of Gang-Tae, who is mentally challenged, yet an amazing artist. Moon-young who is a children book author but her books are far from giving warmth and comfort , but her books portrays the bitter reality, defeat, lost and insecurity not the unrealistic fairy tales, but there are things that Moon-youngs books teaches. And the way the relation and bonding cherished b/w Gang-tae, Sang-tae & Moon-young is too sweet. All the relations among the character are too sweet and unconditional.
🦊and atlast in my opinion I think the message this KD wanna convey is healing power of love and support, helping others in need, fight your fear, don't hold on the painful memories of past instead look forward for a better future. Taking help doesn't mean you are weak. And the the ending it's a perfect ending. If you are planning to watch a light hearted awesome K-drama then I highly recommend “It's Okay Not To Be Okay ”.
